Endoscopic view of a frontal recess obstruction causing frontal sinusitis

A 49-year-old woman presented with recurring right frontal headaches of 2 years' duration. Endoscopic nasal examination revealed some polypoid-appearing tissue in the superior right middle meatus (figure, A). Computed tomography (CT) of the sinuses detected frontal sinus disease bilaterally but more so on the right side (figure, B). The patient underwent functional endoscopic sinus surgery.
